COVID-19 Update

First of all, I hope everyone is doing ok during these strange and difficult times.  As a freelance photographer with a diverse workflow, many of my upcoming shoots and projects have either been postponed or cancelled.  Of course, I am not alone in losing work.  Almost every industry in America has been severely impacted by the pandemic.  That said, I feel fortunate to be living in Lake Tahoe with Michelle and the dogs, surrounded by public land where we can get outside and practice social distancing in nature, in accordance with our state and county guidelines.  I have been and will continue to use this time to focus on LOCAL landscape photography, among other things.

In honor of social distancing and efforts to "flatten the curve," here is an image of a resilient cottonwood standing alone in a snow-covered southern Utah desert:

For now, the print lab I work with is fully operational and wall art continues to be shipped with minimal delays in processing.  They have assured their customers that they have a sanitized work environment and are doing everything they can to keep their workers safe as they process orders.  Here are the key details:

DAYS OF OPERATION: Our team has moved to a four-day work schedule Monday through Thursday. We are utilizing Fridays to do extensive deep-cleaning and sanitization of our facility, following the recommendations from the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in order to protect both our internal and external communities.

SAFETY MEASURES: We have hired dedicated staff whose sole purpose is to maintain a continuous, sterilized and safe work environment. Our manufacturing employees are required to wear protective gloves at all times, as well as follow CDC and WHO recommended guidelines for handwashing, sanitization and social distancing.  We have also outlined an Emergency Action Plan, which should allow us to operate as normal as possible if our work force is impacted by the virus.

SUPPLY CHAIN & SLAs: We have assessed our supply chain and concluded that we do not currently have any potential shortages. As always, we will do our best to maintain Service Level Agreements during this time, and our production schedule will be adjusted in relation to client demands and workforce impact.
